How to book a Panama Travel Tour?
If you decide to book a tour with us, we ask for guest information, your accommodation in Panama City, and a contact number. This is done through our contact form or email.
We do not take direct bookings on the website as we want to be sure your preferred dates are available before taking any booking payments.
You will pay a small booking deposit to secure your reservation, which is paid via a request we send to your email using a credit or debit card, or PayPal account.
The remaining balance is paid in cash (USD) on the day of your tour to your guide.
Do the tours start from Panama City?
Yes, all our Panama Travel tours start from and return to Panama City.
We pick up from your accommodation in Panama City. This does not include hotels in Playa Bonita, Playa Blanca, or Summit Rainforest Resort.
Transport to/from accommodation far from central Panama City can be arranged at additional cost.
Is there a discounted price for kids?
For most tours, we offer a discounted price for kids 10 years and under. Please check the tour pages for pricing or send us a message.
Is food and drink included on the Panama tours?
We provide ice and bottled water for our guests on Panama Travel tours.
Lunch is not included except for the Embera Tribe Village tour which includes a traditional lunch prepared by the local people from the village.
For the other tours, the guide can make recommendations on places to eat lunch during the day or you are welcome to bring lunch along.
What should I bring?
- Copies of passports or originals
- Comfortable walking shoes and clothing
- Light rain jacket
- Bathing suit and towel (for tours that include swimming)
- Extra drinking water
- Insect repellent
- Sun protection; sunglasses and hat
- Camera and charged phones
We send you a packing list along with the information for your tour once your booking is confirmed.
What if it rains on the day?
Tours will proceed even in the event of rain. Sadly we cannot always guarantee good weather and do not give refunds for unfavorable weather unless in the unlikely event that we cancel the tour. In this case, you will have the option to reschedule or cancel with the refund.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your reservation, we ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible. Refunds of deposits are given when a guest cancels their booking more than 72 hours prior to departure. If cancellations are made by guests within 72 hours, the deposit will not be refunded. This applies to bookings made within 72 hours of the trip departure.
In the rare case that we cancel your booking, due to weather conditions, or other miscellaneous events, refunds will be issued
Are the Panama Travel tours physically demanding?
While all the tours involve some walking, they are not physically demanding and can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.
Your guide will do their best to customize the tour to different physical levels.
The Embera Tribe Village tour starts with a canoe ride and requires guests to get in and out of the boat.
